Healthy Chocolate Pudding

As a woman who wakes up at 4:50 AM each day to lace up my running shoes, hit the gym or yoga studio before work, you might assume I would also be interested in eating a healthy and relatively balanced diet. And, you'd be right. But I also regularly fall prey to the "I want chocolate" demon who lives in the back of the otherwise healthy pantry in the back of my brain.
And when positioned against chocolate cravings, even the muscles I train weekly to give me strength can't beat his tempting.

But, I have found a solution! Again, starting with a recipe from Oxygen magazine and stirring in some of my own kitchen creativity, I concocted this chocolate power pudding. Try it the next time that dark, delicious demon knocks on your tummy's door.

Mix together:
  • One container of Greek or regular low-fat or non-fat yogurt. Plain, vanilla or honey flavor. (just watch the sugar content of the yogurt).
  • One heaping scoop of chocolate protein powder.
  • Two teaspoons of dark cocoa powder (non-sweet).
Mix, chill and enjoy!
Beware of the calories, you may want to divide this into two or three servings.

I like to add a little cinnamon and chili powder to make it taste like Mayan cocoa.
